Washington State Early Learning and Development Guidelines

Framework

Location: Washington, US

Authors: Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction

Working as a resource for all who interact and influence the learning and development of children, the Washington State Early Learning and Development Guidelines provides support to assist with the learning and development of children. The guidelines have created a common vocabulary amongst parents and educators, ensuring all share a common goal and vision of development.

Along with proving tools and strategies to document and observe the growth and development, the guidelines provide supplementary third part resources. The guidelines are not a curriculum, however, they correlate with the Sate Early Learning Plan as well as the Tribal Learning Standards.
