Child care associations promote the education and well-being of children, families, and child care providers.

The South Carolina Association for the Education of Young Children (SCAEYC) is an affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. SCAEYC works on behalf of all children in the state of South Carolina. SCAEYC serves the rights, needs, and well-being of all children through their efforts to encourage the improvement of the educational well-being and general well-being of all young children. All chapters of SCAEYC work together to support and promote the vision of SCAEYC.

Members of SCAEYC receive various benefits. As an affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, SCAEYC members receive the benefits of the national association. Members are provided with exclusive information, monthly newsletters, networking opportunities, reduced conference fees, as well the opportunity to share their voice through voting rights in the National Association election. Along with these benefits, SCAEYC members receive discounts on products in the National Association catalog and online store and various supply and resource sites.
