Accreditations & Approvals

HiMama Academy is IACET-accredited (International Association for Continuing Education & Training) and recognized by the National Workforce Registry Alliance. As an IACET-accredited resource, educators are able to earn ‘Continuing Education Units’ (CEUs). CEUs are the internationally recognized standard for quantifying time spent participating in professional development and training activities. Ten hours of instruction = 1.0 CEU. One hour of instruction = 0.1 CEU. The primary purpose of CEUs is to provide educators with a record of their educational accomplishments via Course Completion Certificates. This also means that our content and learning framework has been certified at the highest standard and all course content is heavily researched and developed by accredited authors. To learn more about IACET and CEUs you can visit this website.

General

We highly recommend that all new HiMama Academy users enroll in the “Introduction to Academy” course located within the “HiMama Basics” catalog as their first course. This short 30-min course provides 0.05 CEUs and walks you through all of the features and the simple steps required to onboard you and your staff and get learning today. Users can also find additional training support articles such as “How to download the HiMama Academy App” in the HiMama Help Center.

Learners will receive a Certificate of Completion for viewing webinars inside of Academy; however our HiMama Helps Webinars do not provide CEUs, which is typically needed in most regions to be counted as PD training hours. Some regions, (such as Ontario), allow this type of training to be counted with proof of completion.

Please note: It is up to each individual to confirm with their local licensing organization if the HiMama Helps Webinar certificate can be used for professional development hours.
