Nancy Eickmeier, executive director, is proud of what her team accomplished in the past 26th years. Helping Hands Daycare provides services in 7 different locations to infant through school age, except for the Courtice location which welcomes infant to kindergarten, and operates 12 months of the year.
One of the main reasons why the organization has grown so much is for the premium service that it offers to families. All facilities are equipped with card pass access only to ensure a maximal security for children. The centers also use HiMama to provide daily updates to parents and keep them engaged throughout the day. Zhara, a parent at Helping Hands Daycare, says: “It's amazing! Using a combination of ELECT and theme based curriculum, the team is focused on enhancing the children’s development with Learn Through Play. The team is composed of experienced RECE’s who have been with the organization for many years, some of them for more than a decade of experience with the organization! Nancy says: “One of the amazing attributes of each centers is that we retain most our employees. We love to create an environment in which they are excited to come and make a difference in the children’s life.”
Helping Hands Daycare is very community focused and has a heart of gold when it comes to giving back to people in need. The organization started a charitable account for Helping Hands families with children diagnosed with life altering disease. Many events, such as an auction, are held throughout the year where all families come together to support Helping Hands Daycare who can pay it forward to those in need.
Nancy mentioned how much the organization is willing to do the extra mile to create an inclusive community for all parents. Each center holds a Christmas concert with more than 250 people attend each one of them. Another very popular event for the community is the annual summer BBQ which has built a reputation over the past 26 years to be one of the most wonderful family event in the region, with more than 400 people attending every year.
