Happy Hands Methodist Preschool was founded by Mrs. Bessie Cluts in 1968 and established as a ministry of the Lemont United Methodist Church. As per Director Karin Paraino, the preschool’s goal has remained constant over the years: "Teach a child how he should live, and he will remember it all his life." ~Proverbs 22:6.

By bridging the gap between home and elementary school, Happy Hands Methodist Preschool’s teachers help instill a healthy notion of self-image within the children and provide them with the tools to practice their social skills. "The preschool’s purpose is to provide an atmosphere that encourages social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth and development of the child as a whole." says Mrs. Peraino.

Happy Hands Methodist Preschool's curriculum includes sharing and conversation time, stories and songs, creative arts and crafts, field trips throughout the community, science and nature activities, and much more!! Happy Hands Methodist Preschool offers small classes which emphasize Christian values for children two-years-old through pre-kindergarten age.Their team of enthusiastic teachers ensure that each child receives individual attention and flexible teaching allows children to grow at their own pace and celebrate their individual successes.
