Model Magic just got even more fun with this process art activity!

Did you know you can color on white Model Magic to turn your clay any color you want?

What you'll need
  • white Model Magic
  • washable markers
Step by step

Step 1

In a small group give each child some Model Magic air-dry clay.

Step 2

Allow children to mold and manipulate it.

Step 3

Have each child flatten their clay.

Step 4

Using markers children can color on the clay. They can then fold, stretch, roll, and squeeze their clay. The colors used with the marker will emerge in the clay.

Step 5

Children can then create anything they want with the clay. If desired they can draw directly onto the clay to add more details.

Step 6

Allow the clay to air dry for 24 to 48 hours.

Tip: Create an art show in your classroom. Find places to display the creations. Place a piece of paper next to childrens’ pieces with their words on it describing their art.
