HiMama takes on the U.S. market with CDMN

TORONTO, ON (PRNewswire) December 17, 2014 - HiMama (www.himama.com) will participate in the Canadian Digital Media Network’s (CDMN) Outbound Soft Landing program as part of the Winter 2015 cohort to help forge partnerships and connections to further its U.S. expansion.

HiMama enables early childhood educators to document children’s activities using tablets and send parents real-time updates and child care reports through email and the HiMama apps for iOS and Android. Educators can enter everything from basic health-related information about a child’s well-being to child development observations to keep parents informed on what their child is learning.

HiMama began their entry into the U.S. market earlier this year and is now working with a range of customers across the country. Many of the early learning programs using HiMama’s technology in the U.S. meet the highest in quality standards, including Montessori educational programs and NAEYC accredited programs.

“Our newly forged partnership with a national child care provider in Canada positions us well to serve large regional and national providers south of the border. It’s evidence that we have the technology, team, processes and systems in place to meet the needs of these larger organizations, everything from managing a wide-scale implementation through to ongoing training and support. The CDMN Soft Landing program will help us take this success to the U.S., making new connections and partnerships in the Northeast,” stated HiMama Co-Founder & CEO, Ron Spreeuwenberg.

CDMN’s Soft Landing program helps mature startups and SMEs kickstart their international growth by helping them access a foreign market. For a period of up to three months, the participating company can take up residence in a partnered facility that provides the regional support required to help grow its business, as well as receiving funding for travel and hotel costs.

“The Soft Landing program has already resulted in millions of dollars in new business and investment for our participating companies and generated more than a 30x return on CDMN’s investment of funds and resources,” said Avvey Peters, CDMN’s Managing Director.

The Outbound Soft Landing program runs three times a year and companies must meet a range of criteria, including foreign market potential. CDMN also operates an Inbound Soft Landing program for non-Canadian companies looking to break into the Canadian market. For more information, please visit the CDMN Soft Landing program.
