Emotional Domain Activities

The emotional domain allows children to express themselves, recognize their own feelings and those of others, and develop ways to manage their emotions. Emotional development is important for a child's well-being. This is arguably the most difficult domain as adults sometimes struggle with this! A good place to start is by developing the language to talk about emotion and modeling positive emotional responses for young children, especially in real-time situations. Create a space where a child is able to express their feelings and develop their emotional intelligence. A lot of this work happens spontaneously rather than planned so being adaptable is key in this case.
