Strike a GIANT pose!
This is a fun way to explore dinosaurs and get active with your kiddo. They’ll be extra focused on their bodies and movements as they imagine themselves as giant dinosaurs going through the collection of yoga poses. Start by reading a book of choice about dinosaurs so they can really imagine themselves in their new bodies!
📚 Books to explore: How Do Dinosaurs Say I Love You? by Jane Yolen, Dinosaurumpus! by Tony Mitton, and If I Had a Triceratops by George O’Connor.
🧘 Exploring body and movement. This is a fun way to get your kiddo into understanding how their body moves and learning how to control their muscles.
😅 Join in the fun. Perform each of the poses to get a workout as well!

For this activity you will need:
Printable yoga poses
Yoga Mat (optional)

Instructions
Step 1:
Print the included yoga poses.
Step 2:
Lay down your yoga mats with at least a few feet of open space in all directions.
Step 3:
Explain a pose and help the child perform it, holding each pose for at least 10 seconds. Repeat 2-3 more times.
Step 4:
Repeat step 3 for each of the remaining poses.
⬆️ For older preschoolers: Have the child try to choose a routine of yoga poses and see if they can remember all of them in order.
⬇️ For toddlers: Younger kiddos will need more help in the form of visual demonstrations or moving their bodies into position
