Early Childhood Education Portfolios

A portfolio is a collection of a child’s work and progress while in a child care or early learning program. Some child care programs, for example, will create a binder with art and crafts created by the child, as well as photos and stories of activities. Portfolios are a great way to see a child’s experiences in a well-presented, organized format.

HiMama to the rescue!

An online portfolio contains all of the same components of the traditional portfolio, but in an electronic format. The benefit of an online portfolio in HiMama is that it is automatically generated as educators record photos, stories and other observations in the classroom. It is also extremely easy for parents to access the portfolio from anywhere, such as their home computer or smartphone, allowing them to stay informed and involved with their child’s development.
