Connecting with your inner child to support children’s development [Webinar]

In this webinar we were joined by Ron Shuali from RonSpeak! Ron joined us to discuss how all early learning professionals can connect with their inner child so that they can authentically connect with and support the development of the children they work with. Through laughter and excitement, Ron shared meaningful ways that educators can be re-introduced to their inner child, and how finding this connection will enhance their joy in the classroom. This webinar is for all educators who struggle to understand themselves and how to process past trauma so that they can enjoy playing and interacting with the children in their classroom. 🧪Key Learning Outcomes from Ron!

  • The inner child is a part of ourselves that allows us to be joyous and happy, but it can also hold onto inner trauma that has happened in our lives and hold us back. When we focus on understanding and reframing past experiences, we can be more present with the children we care for.
  • Our inner child is reactive. When we let our inner child out, we can be more self-reflective and responsive with the children in our care. This will give us the tools we need to respond positively during high stress situations in the classroom.
  • Re-connecting with your inner child will help you better understand yourself and help you find joy in the classroom.
  • You can reconnect with your inner child by taking the time to be present with yourself. Take time to visualize yourself as a child while engaging in deep breathing and remind yourself of your value and what brings you joy.
  • When we can access our inner child we will find meaningful ways to connect with children and support their development.
