Just one day after launching HiMama six years ago, we have passed a surreal milestone that seemed nearly impossible when setting forth on this journey:
500 million moments shared on HiMama!
Five. Hundred. Million. We still can’t believe it.
Perhaps the most difficult day in a parent’s life is when they leave their precious little one at daycare for the first time. A million questions are swirling through their heads: Will they be OK without me? Will they learn anything? Will they have enough to eat? Will they get enough sleep? Will they have fun? What if I miss an important new milestone?
Every day, we hear incredibly moving stories from the child care providers and parents who have been impacted by our app. Some stories are about how we help parents understand the details of their kiddo’s day so they can have more meaningful conversations in the evening. Others are true tear-jerkers like a parent seeing a video of their baby’s very first steps, which they otherwise would have missed.
And now, we have passed the overwhelming/humbling/crazy/amazing milestone of sharing half a billion moments just like these with parents all around the world.
Meg Saak, Director at The Elegant Child in St. Louis, MO, sums it up best:
“Our working parents are so in love with our HiMama app and it has enabled them to stay in touch with their children all day long.
