Child care associations promote the education and well-being of children, families, and child care providers.

The Virginia Child Care Association (VCCA) is an affiliate of the National Child Care Association (NCCA). The VCCA is the only association in the United States whose main focus is to represent licensed, private, early childhood and school aged services. The VCCA works to ensure all children in the state participating in a community education services receive the highest quality services and education at an affordable rate. The VCCA works to increase knowledge of the industry by providing the general public with crucial information in regards to licenced and center-based early education programs. Along with promoting the field, the VCCA strives to make a difference through assisting in legislative, regulatory as well as standard-setting within the government. Lastly, the VCCA works to create a network between licensed, private tax-paying, center-based as well as school-aged service providers.
