Child care associations promote the education and well-being of children, families, and child care providers.

The Mississippi Early Childhood Association (MsECA) strives to create networks and connect professionals in the field of early childhood education to one another on various levels to increase the learning opportunities for children from infancy to eight years of age. MsECA members decide the interest of the association through meetings that are held regularly. Members are able to use meetings are networking opportunities while discussing what issues are of interest and are of urgency to professionals working in the field. Meetings of MsECA members involve various aspects, from group discussions to education programs. MsECA has a member on the executive board, this member becomes the voice for the association, and meeting with members to ensure everyone has the opportunity to share their thoughts and to ensure that their voice is heard both locally as well as on the state level. As an affiliate with the Southern Early Childhood Association, MsECA is provided the opportunity to work with over 21,000 members from 13 southern states.

As part of a network of like-minded individuals working towards a common goal, MsECA members receive various benefits from MsECA. Members receive Dimensions for Youth Children quarterly, are provided access to conferences at a lower fee, provided discounts on professional books, and are sent information, bi-monthly on national and state associations and events.
