Child care associations promote the education and well-being of children, families, and child care providers.

Created in 1972, the Massachusetts Association of Early Education and Care (MAEEC) work to promote public policy, advocates for over 600 early education and school age care providers as well as provides assistance to Family Child Care Systems. The MAEEC is a trade association working for private community-based education providers in the state of Massachusetts. The MAEEC aims to be the leading voice for all in the field of early education within the state of Massachusetts. The MAEEC and their members work to achieve program stability, reasonable and liveable wages, accreditation, as well as access to professional development opportunities.

Along with being the voice of early education, MAEEC members receive various benefits. The benefits received by members include, but are not limited to, access to information and research, governmental news, insurance coverage, mentoring opportunities, discounts at supply stores and access to conferences, trainings, and networking opportunities.
