Location: Hawaii

Child care associations promote the education and well-being of children, families, and child care providers.

With over 87,000 children under the age of 5 in the state of Hawaii the Hawaii Association of the Education of Young Children (HAEYC) is the voice of the childhood community in Hawaii. Founded in 1972, HAEYC has grown from 123 members to over 900 statewide and is an affiliate of the National Association of Education of Young Children while also in collaboration with state governments and state conferences.

HAEYC works to constantly improve the health and education of children and families while supporting and expanding and programs created for young children. HAEYC accomplishes these goals by hosting various events. HAEYC organizes an annual conference to connect members of the early childhood field from across the state. The conference brings in over 1,500 individuals statewide. HAEYC plays hosts to other social and education events as well as workshops throughout the year, with over 20,000 attendees in total.
