Early Childhood Development Association of PEI

Framework

Location: Prince Edward Island

Child care associations promote the education and well-being of children, families, and child care providers.

Formed in 1974, the Early Childhood Development Association of PEI, an affiliate member of the Canadian Child Care Federation, has served as a not for profit organization aimed to support early childhood development programs of the highest quality. These programs serve the children and families of Prince Edward Island. The programs provide guidance and information for those seeking knowledge, as well as professional development opportunities through various resources. The Early Childhood Development Association of PEI is the voice of children from infancy to the age of 8, expressing the importance of healthy child development to families and educators.

In order to support and deliver high quality childcare services and early learning programs, the Early Childhood Development Association of PEI delivers tools and information to Early Childhood Educators. The organization ensures that all Early Childhood Educators have access to resources to increase their skills and knowledge, as well as ensuring that all parents have the appropriate tools and information to meet their child care needs. Lastly, the Early Childhood Development Association of PEI aims to create public recognition of the importance of a positive learning experience.
