Child care associations promote the education and well-being of children, families, and child care providers.

Through a common vision of expanding and enhancing the quality and rates of child care services in Niagara, the Early Childhood Community Development Centre (ECCDC) was created. As a charitable organization, the ECCDC evokes excellence through training, innovation, resources, coaching, as well as emerging trends in the early learning field. In the 20 years since their creation, the volunteer run ECCDC has become the leader in training, resources, and referrals in the early learning field.

The mission of the ECCDC is to achieve excellence in the field, therefore the ECCDC consists of organizations who share common values. These common values are innovation, leadership, respect, and professionalism. In order to achieve their values and goals, the ECCDC develops quality services and products that increase early learning in children. The organization encourages courage, guidance, and conviction to create a supporting, nurturing, and healthy atmosphere for child development. As early learning is a crucial time in a child’s life, the ECCDC supports and honors professionals in the field through knowledge and expertise. The ECCDC has created a mentoring systems for those working in the child care setting in order to achieve quality and excellence.
