Association of Early Childhood Educators Ontario

Framework

Location: Ontario

Child care associations promote the education and well-being of children, families, and child care providers.

The Association of Early Childhood Education Ontario (AECEO) supports a collective voice for all Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) in the province. The AECEO uses their voice to create positive and influential changes that benefit ECEs as well as parents, children, and the community.

The main focus of the AECEO is to promote respect, recognition, and reasonable compensation and work conditions for all ECEs. In order to influence change and to serve their members, AECEO implements a variety of opportunities and actions on behalf of their members. AECEO helps ECEs advocate leadership to families and children while working to promote high quality programs to the government as well as various decision makers.

The AECEO created a network that allows ECEs to connect with one another throughout the industry. This network allows for a more knowledgeable network while also connecting with partners to increase awareness of high quality early childhood education that is publicly funded for children ranging from infancy to 12 years of age. While connecting members of the field, the AECEO also conducts research and analyzes policies that focuses on the opportunities and growth for Early Childhood Educators.
