Child care associations promote the education and well-being of children, families, and child care providers.

As a non-profit organization, the Association of Early Childhood Educators of Newfoundland and Labrador (AECENL) is devoted to quality child care, education, and professionalism in the early childhood field. AECENL is associated with the Canadian Child Care Federation.

With over 10,000 members, AECENL strives to promote pride and dedication to the field. In order to accommodate this, AECENL promotes awareness of quality care and education for children through educating parents, the community as well as policy makers of the importance of Early Childhood Education. AECENL is the voice of quality care in Newfoundland and Labrador, facilitating communication for professional development, major issues, and improved compensation as well as to liaise with other organizations in the field.

There are many benefits of being a member of the AECENL, which include but are not limited to: AECENL newsletter, interaction and bulletin, reduced rates for provincial as well as regional CCCF conferences, workshops at a reduced rate, professional development events as well as webinars.
